Grown on the island of Sumatra, Mandheling is known for its smooth, full body, and its rich, complex taste. Sumatra Mandheling is often described as earthy and intense with an herbal aroma. With just enough acidity to be noticed, this Sumatran coffee has tones of sweet chocolate and licorice. This coffee is named after north Sumatra’s Mandheling people – an ethnic group and not so much a region.
