Roast Profile Highlights:
This coffee is incredibly versatile! Here are a few profiles to get you started:
-
Medium Roast (City/City+): Just into the first crack or slightly beyond, this will highlight the bright, clean cup with nutty, chocolate, and citrus notes.
-
Full City Roast: Taking it a bit darker will develop more sweetness and body, bringing out notes of raisin, fig, and brown sugar.
-
Dark Roast (Vienna/Beginning of Second Crack): For those who love a bold cup, a darker roast will deliver a rich, earthy flavor reminiscent of a fine Sumatran coffee, with deep cocoa and nutty tones.
Did you know? The Bududa variety, also known locally as Bugisu, is a classic Arabica bean with a long history. It traveled from Ethiopia to Malawi (formerly Bududa) before being introduced to Uganda in the early 20th century. It is known for its intense and floral aroma.
